somebody needs to tell Hasbro to get their fucking heads out of their asses and do a little research into what a REAL horse looks like

my daughter asked me for a pony for christmas, and do you know what she said when she saw it?

“where is its cutie mark? does it even have one? this pony looks very ugly.”

can you BELIEVE that? when I heard her say that, I felt absolutely shocked and appalled. these “Little” Ponies are a BIG deal! concerned parents, please send Hasbro an e-mail telling them to STOP polluting our children’s minds with this offensively false idea of what a real, normal horse is. this HAS to stop!

okay, um, wow. first of all, IT’S A CARTOON. they can do whatever the fuck they want with their rainbow of colors. would you complain about Syndrome’s hair in The Incredibles standing up straight without it looking like it was styled? or how about Kevin in UP? never in my life have I seen a bird with so many colors on its feathers!

in Avatar: The Last Airbender, Azula throws around blue fire. the dragons even have multicolored fire.

in The Secret of Kells, Brendan fights a monster with nothing but chalk. how? by drawing lines.

in the PBS Kids show Cyberchase, there’s a HUGE variety of colors used in the characters from Cyberspace. a girl has blue hair, another has pink hair, the main character even has GREEN SKIN.

and you’re complaining about RAINBOW PONIES?!

here’s some news for you: cartoons are NOT MEANT to reflect real life. they take artistic liberties. these ponies are talking, acting, living, sometimes even dressing like humans. oh, and they’re magical. so I don’t think rainbow hair and skin should be that much of a shock.
